★LISER™ Light Source

LISER stands for Laser-Induced Spontaneous Emission of Radiation produced when laser diodes focus on luminescent materials. ★LISER™ denotes light source where the light from five collimated blue laser diodes at the tips of a five-point star is brought to a round spot on the luminescent crystal in the star's center, creating intense, broadband, non-coherent light emission. The laser diode's beams are focused and overlapped with a rotationally symmetric parabolic mirror. While beam-overlapping significantly increases the brightness of the ★LISER™ light source, it generates more localized heat that requires good thermal management to prevent the crystal's quenching.
