Doric Lenses electrical rotary joints, also known as electrical commutators, are designed for freely moving electrophysiology and neural recording experiments. They maintain electrical connections while allowing an animal's tether to rotate, helping prevent cable twisting, tangling and unwanted mechanical resistance during recording. Our electrical rotary joints are available in passive and motor-assisted configurations, with options for different numbers of electrical contacts and connector configurations. They are designed for applications including in vivo electrophysiology, Miniscope, fiber photometry*, EEG/EMG, and freely moving small-animal experiments.
