Wireless Optogenetics System provides a cable-free solution for optogenetics light delivery in freely-moving animals. This solution can support up to four wireless headstages simultaneously, enabling experiments with multiple animals in the same environment. This system is ideal for those studying neural populations underlying social behaviors.
Wireless Optogenetics System (WiOG) provides a cable-free solution for optogenetics experiments in freely-moving animals. The Doric system can support up to eight wireless headstages simultaneously, exciting multiple interacting animals in the same cage. This system is ideal for those manipulating neural populations underlying social behaviors.
The system requires (1) a console (either BBC300 or NC500), (2) a wireless base station, and (3) wireless headstage, and come with a FREE data acquisition software, Doric Neuroscience Studio (DNS). One Base Station can support up to multiple wireless headstages simultaneously, and each console can drive with at least two base stations at the same.
The Wireless Optogenetics headstage is a lightweight (2.8g), wearable device that wireless transmits data from its low consumption LED, including a choice between the following wavelengths: 450 nm, 465 nm, 528nm, 560 nm, 593 nm, 617nm, and 634 nm. The headstage communicates in real-time with the base station at up to 2 meters away. The standard version includes a rechargeable battery that lasts 1+ hour* and is compatible with 2.5 mm ferrules cannulas (ZF2.5 or MF2.5).
The Doric headstage also provides several unique capabilities compared to competitors:
- Adjust the LED power wirelessly,
- Program wireless optogenetic excitation patterns in DNS
