This FPGA-based console supports two-way communication between the computer and the tethered ephys headstages or fiber photometry system. At the beginning of the experiment, the console sets the recording parameters and the fiber photometry excitation sequence in the Doric Neuroscience Studio (DNS) software. The recording or light delivery can also be triggered by external sources as touch sensor or tracking software, etc.  The Electrophysiology and Fiber Photometry Console handle one tethered headstage HS-T16 that record 4 electrodes at 25 kHz, 8 electrodes at 20 kHz, or 16 electrodes at 10 kHz. Additionally, it support multiple fiber photometry recordings using lockin amplifier or time-interleaving detection. Data can be displayed, commented, saved, and pre-analysed with DNS software.
