The Wireless Optogenetics headstage is a lightweight (2.8g), wearable device that wireless transmits data from its low consumption LED, including a choice between the following wavelengths: 450 nm, 465 nm, 528nm, 560 nm, 593 nm, 617nm, and 634 nm. The headstage communicates in real-time with the base station at up to 2 meters away. The standard version includes a 1.3 grams* rechargeable batterythat lasts 1 to 4 hours*and is compatible with 2.5 mm ferrules cannulas (ZF2.5 or MF2.5).
The Doric headstage also provides several unique capabilities compared to competitors:

  • Adjust the LED power wirelessly
  • Program wireless optogenetic excitation patterns in DNS
  • Continuous Wave
  • Square mode (set frequency, pulse width, sequence patterns, delays, etc.)
  • Complex & Custom pulse train sequences (COMING SOON)
  • Overdrive mode available to push power +50%
  • Record acceleration and head direction with embedded inertial measurement unit (IMU) on the headstage
