Connectorized LED with Fiber-optic Rotary Joint
-
It is common to connect an LED with a rotary joint via a fiber-optic patch cord. However, the tips of the patch cord are usually not coated, and at least 8% of the light power is lost to the Fresnel reflections, in addition to other connection losses. Connectorized LED with Fiber-optic Rotary Joint or LEDFRJ eliminates one fiber-optic patch cord and related losses by integrating the LED source and the rotary joint into a single device. Its rotative optical fiber connection with practically zero starting torque allows free rotation of the optical fiber cable.
Notes:- A compatible holder is included with the Connectorized LED + Fiber-optic Rotary Joint (Holder_FRJ_large).
- An optional gimbal holder allows pivoting the rotary joint along two additional axes, further reducing the mechanical stress on the animal (GH_FRJ).
- A Connectorized LED with Fiber-optic Rotary Joint does not include the corresponding LED Driver.
