Doric Mini Cube - Wavelength Division
-
For in vivo optogenetics experiments there is a need to illuminate the tissue with specific pulses of spectrally different lights using the same fiber. To put it simply, the light from different fiber coupled LEDs or lasers needs to be combined into one beam and coupled to an optical fiber leading to a fiber-optic implant or cannula.
Doric Mini cube - Wavelength division has one or multiple dichroic mirrors which combines different input wavelengths into a single output optical fiber. The angle of incidence of the light to the dichroic mirror found inside the standard version of Doric Mini Cubes is 22.5 degrees. Version with 45 degree angle of incidence is available only as a custom product.
Doric Mini cube - Wavelength division provides a compact, connectorized package with highly efficient coupling and low polarization dependent loss (PDL), ideal for multimode fibers. The same device can be used in the opposite direction as a light spectrum separator. The concept of a spectrum mixer or splitter is analog to the concept of a wavelength division multiplexing and demultiplexing in optical telecommunication.
Available with 2, 3 or 4 optical outputs.
Note: Our standard products assume the use of identical fiber diameters and identical receptacle codes. However, this can be customized.
