The Branching Box is one of the a key component within the BFTO system for the targeted optogenetic feature. Each port of the Branching Box corresponds to a single fiber within the bundle. Thus, the Branching Box arranges the independent optogenetic excitations (arising from multiple light sources) to the propre fibers within the bundle, which are then funneled into the Opsin port of the BFTO.

The Branching Box is available in three configurations: 7, 9 and 19 fibers, matching the 7, 9 and 19 High-density cannula configuration.
