Optofluid Cannulas
As the convergence of cell monitoring and control techniques like optogenetics, electrophysiology, and fiber photometry gathers speed, cannula hybridization and fluid administration become imperative. The chronically implanted optofluid cannula is a port of entry for light and liquid. The liquid injectors easily connect to and disconnect from cannulas. The simplest way to allow passage of fluids, optical and electrical signals in and out of the body is by using a universal guiding cannula with a plastic body in the shape of a receptacle and a shaft.
